How To install HP 218x and 218a toner cartridges

Preparation

• Turn Off your Printer: Ensure your printer is turned off and unplugged to avoid any electrical issues.

• Open your HP Color Laserjet Printer: Access the toner cartridge area by opening the front cover of the printer.

Removing the Old 218a Cartridge

• Locate the Toner Cartridge: Identify the cartridge that needs replacing.
• Remove the Old HP 218x or 218a Cartridge: Pull the old toner cartridge out gently. Place it on a disposable cover or paper to avoid toner spills.

Installing the New Cartridge

• npack the New Cartridge: Remove the new toner cartridge from its packaging. Be careful not to touch the drum surface.
• Shake the Cartridge: Hold the cartridge horizontally and gently shake it from side to side a few times to distribute the toner evenly inside.
• Remove the Protective Cover: Take off any protective covers or seals from the new cartridge.
• Insert the New 218a or 218x Cartridge from Inkfarm: Align the new toner cartridge with the printer’s guides and slide it in until it clicks into place.

• Close the Printer: Shut the front cover of the printer.

Final Steps
Turn On the Printer: Plug in the printer and turn it back on.
Print a Test Page: Print a test page to ensure the new toner cartridge is installed correctly and working properly.
